I don't swim. Can't swim. Not big on water sports. Get seasick if I even watch a body of water for just a few minutes. Thus it may seem a surprise but one of my earliest favorite comic books was AQUAMAN.
Although he'd been around as a character since the later forties, he had only finally been given his own title in the early sixties. By 1966, the bi-monthly publication was highlighted by some excellent artwork from Nick Cardy and Aquaman became popular enough to get his own cartoon series!
In comics, the books are traditionally dated a couple of months in advance so the Jan/Feb issue seen here was actually out at the end of 1965. Thus I've included the Jan/Feb issue for 1967, also, which would have been on the stands in December of 1966.
