Producer Leonard Stern's RUN, BUDDY, RUN was one of the earliest TV series I was sad to see disappear so quickly. Starring personable Jack Sheldon (better known as a first class jazz trumpeter) as an everyman type on the run from the mob, it was an obvious parody of shows like THE FUGITIVE and RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. Buddy ran for thirteen weeks in '66. Sheldon's biggest claim to fame may well be his early seventies interpretation of "Bill" in the now-slassic SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK "I'm Just a Bill" cartoon.
